THE MAGIC OF WATERCOLOR

I instantly fell in love with watercolor, when I first tried the technique fifteen years ago. What I love most about the media is the softness and transparency of the pigments. By adding thin layers of washes on one another you build up an image that has many layers, like the elements in life itself. I also like experimenting with different techniques and mixing them with watercolor. 
I like designing characters, such as elves from Finnish folklore and forest animals, and images of magical places. Nordic nature and its changing seasons never stop to amaze me and they are a constant inspiration to my work.
